Anna Paquin has been an actress across Canada and New Zealand for over a decade. Paquin is a native of New Zealand, born in Wellington however was born and bred in Winnipeg was first seen in the acting world on screen in The Piano. At age 11 she was the youngest Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin's full name is Anna Helene Paquin. Born on the 24th of July, 1982 on the 24th of July 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was the first Canadian native New Zealand actress. As a child, Paquin won an Academy Award for best support actress. Her performance as the talkative and inquisitive young girl Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) earned her the honor. Following a prompt to auditions open when she was nine and having no previous experience in acting when she was selected for the role of Flora McGrath role. Flora is the child of an Scottish pianist, who was deaf. The couple were relocated to New Zealand during the middle of the nineteenth century to arrange a marriage. When she moved into New Zealand, in the United States, she became an adolescent. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in the year 1996. In addition, she played an important role in Fly Away Home, a movie from that same year. Paquin had a small role in the television movie of 1997 adaption of Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. She also played the Princess of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). The role she played was for teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). Also, she played the role of a teen girl named Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
