April Ross

April Ross has won more than one Olympic medal. She is among a few female players of beach volleyball to have achieved this feat. Alix klineman, who is taking part for the very first time at the Tokyo Olympics and will attempt to win her third gold medal. Ross's goal is to win her first Olympic Gold. The next chance she'll ever have as she is 39 years old. But she's confident top awards are within reach. Ross was quoted in NBC Boston as saying that If you put in your top, even if you play well we will get the gold. Also, I'll take some chance. Ross was born on the 22nd of October, 1982. She was raised in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents and her sister. While at Newport Harbor High School, she played in a variety of activities. In addition to the indoor game, she also was a basketball player and also ran track as a pre-collegiate athlete. She clearly was the top player in indoor volleyball. As per her biography, during high school she was a volleyball player as an outside setter (middle blocker) as well as a the setter (outside blocker). Her efforts were recognized in 1999 when she was named Gatorade's National Circle of Champions players of the year. The 2000 Orange County Athlete of the Month award was also won by her in volleyball. Ross and Klineman started their relationship in 2017 However, Ross had been a beach-scene star for years before. As a matter of fact Ross has been a winner of several major tournaments in her career together with two other partners. One of them is a volleyball legend. Jennifer Kessy was her partner for six years, from 2007 to 2013. She also coached Klineman and herself. Together with Kessy Ross was a force on the international circuit winning the world championship in 2009. They were awarded a silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the team that could take home the gold. Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor retired. Together, they took home bronze medals in beach volleyball for the Rio Olympics of 2016. Ross participated in the USC Trojans in college after graduating from in high school. Ross had an impressive run in college. In 2000, as a freshman she earned Pac-10 and NCAA All-American Freshman of Year accolades. She also earned an All-American. Her Trojans also reached the Final Four. After her sophomore year she suffered a devastating personal tragedy, but managed to earn the honor of being named an All-American. The last two years in the Trojans in the program they won victories by winning consecutive national championships. In 2003-2004, Ross was named as the most successful female volleyball player on the collegiate scene in America by the Honda Sports Award. Ross majored in international relations at USC. Margie Ross was never able to see her daughter make it to the top in beach volleyball. Margie, Ross's mother, passed away in 2001. Ross was a USC sophomore. Her breast cancer had been diagnosed. This meant that Ross remains close to her parent who died. Margie remains an inspiration both on and off of the shore.
